Hi Airbnb guests:
This post is for you. Just sent out the holiday greeting via airbnb. I added this Blog site and I was hoping you would stop by. Normally, there is very little interaction on in the form of comments. So I thought that this post especially for you, my 42 in-house guests, of this past year might start some interaction. I think that you are all like minded in that you have been fun, creative, exciting, and thoughtful people.

For some reason, it kind of reminds me of my first apartment parties in San Francisco in the late 60″s, my apartment mate and I would invite all the cool people we knew and met and see what happens. The only problem with that is you never know if any people became friends because of it. Today we have the internet that can build into a critical mass.

This past year I have been blessed with 42 guests from around the world. Everyone came as a stranger and left as a friend. In the excitement of sharing we learn; sometimes new recipes, sometimes new facts, and other times cultural experiences.

To start here are some of my thoughts:
-Europeans know how to treat their employees with long vacations and liberal sabbaticals. Especially from Germany, some employees have opted in for sabbaticals that amount to time without pay but an easy return to your old job. In one case at least the company subtracted some pay on a regular basis so during the time off they could get smaller but regular checks. How cool is that…I expect no or little burn out there.
-Almost all of the guests came to live in and see the redwoods in the Santa Cruz mountains. When I’m available I give them a tour.
This post is just a starter for dialog, I am hoping that my past past guests will add comment to this post. I will then comment on the comment and we would start a kind forum . It should be fun.
To find my listing look for Felton CA Scenic Redwood Escape. Or you may have to copy and paste this:–CA–United-States?checkin=&checkout=&guests=1&source=bb&ss_id=zvl1mz11
So feel free to add a comment or some conversation starter. I am looking forward hearing from you.
